Wilmington Police Department seeking grant to give every officer a body camera
2+ hour, 59+ min ago (491+ words) WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - The Wilmington Police Department (WPD) is seeking roughly $340,000 in federal grant funding to purchase new body cameras. City council passed a resolution unanimously at their Nov. 5 meeting, authorizing City Manager Becky Hawke to apply for the grant. The grant would require the city to commit about $170,000 total in matching funds over a three-year period. Roughly $57,000 of that match will be required in the 2026 fiscal year, and can be covered within the city's current budget, according to the resolution. If approved, every WPD officer would have their own Axon body camera. Currently, only officers who typically work in the field do, though others who don't have cameras do fill in on certain assignments in the field where there's a need, according to the department. Lt. Greg Willett said WPD uses the camera footage frequently, as evidence in court cases…...

No. 4 Men's Soccer Survives Against North Carolina, Advancing To Third Round
19+ hour, 23+ min ago (553+ words) It was a close one that had Maryland fans on the edge of their seats. Still, the Maryland Terrapins men's soccer team defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels in a penalty kick shootout, 4-3, after tying 1-1 in regulation of the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Ludwig Field on Sunday afternoon. The first half started slowly for the Terps, who didn't have long, sustained possessions on the attack, and were a little sloppy with passes. Part of the reason could've been the time off since the Terps last played, and the absence of sophomore defender Jace Clark, who injured his leg against UCLA in the Big Ten Tournament. Sadam Masereka took the first shot of the game for the Terps in the third minute, sending a shot just wide of the low-left side of the net from outside the box....
"Task" and Brad Ingelsby Transport Viewers to Delaware County
19+ hour, 33+ min ago (834+ words) The Main Line native has found his rhythm in storytelling, and it's right where he began the pursuit years ago. Brad Ingelsby had the typical Berwyn upbringing'Beaumont Elementary School, Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School, and Archbishop John Carroll High School saw him during his early educational years. But after long days of school and homework, Ingelsby had a favorite activity that would foreshadow the career he enjoys today: watching movies. But the probability seemed more favorable with the guidance of Sloan Seale, his Villanova screenwriting teacher who inspired Ingelsby to give the creative career route a chance. "It was the nudge I needed to start thinking about it in a more serious way," he notes, remembering Seale's early observation of his knack for screenwriting. That was a turning point for Ingelsby, who moved to graduate school at the American Film Institute…...

US bankruptcy law is designed to promote and reconcile two core policy objectives: providing relief to financially distressed debtors and ensuring the equitable treatment of creditors vis--vis the debtor and other creditors. In furtherance of these policies, the Bankruptcy Code authorizes a debtor or bankruptcy trustee to initiate a lawsuit to claw back a payment made to a vendor within 90 days before the bankruptcy case, if it was made on account of an existing debt and allowed the vendor to receive more than they otherwise would have received in a hypothetical liquidation had the payment not been made. These payments are called "preferences" because they ostensibly prefer certain…...
